Oakland Ballers games will be broadcast on KPIX/CBS Bay Area

The Oakland Ballers announced Tuesday morning that they will partner exclusively with KPIX/CBS Bay Area and broadcast all nine of the team’s Friday night home games on KPIX+ 44 Cable 12, KPIX’s sister station in San Francisco.

“We are extremely excited to announce our partnership with KPIX/CBS Bay Area, which will broadcast our Friday night home games on KPIX+,” Ballers co-founder Bryan Carmel said in a press release. “Not only will fans be able to watch Friday Night Ballers baseball, but they will also be able to enjoy expert commentary, in-depth analysis and behind-the-scenes access with KPIX+. We are honored to continue Oakland’s baseball legacy and hope fans will tune in to watch the Pioneer League and see how we do things in the city.

“We believe sports brings us together as a community, and we are very excited to televise Friday night Oakland Ballers home games in the communities we serve across the Bay Area,” said Scott Warren, president and CEO. general manager of KPIX- TV, KPIX+ and CBS News Bay Area, in a press release. “Beyond the games, we’ll share inspiring stories about the team, the community that supports them, and the city that works so hard to keep America’s favorite pastime alive.”

Additionally, with construction of stadium infrastructure underway after the Oakland City Council unanimously approved an agreement for the use of Raimondi Park last week, the Ballers released video of the approximate renderings.

The nine Friday night home games, all of which begin at 6:35 p.m., will take place on June 7, June 14, June 28, July 5, July 12, July 26, August 2, August 16 and August 30.

The Ballers broadcast team will include Tyler Petersen, Davis Ellington and various guests. Petersen, who also serves as the team’s assistant general manager, has covered games on ESPN+, the Pac-12 Networks and Mountain West Network. Ellington served as a broadcast assistant for the Utah Jazz, as well as a broadcaster for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, the Dodgers’ Single-A affiliate.

For games not broadcast on KPIX+ 44 Cable 12, fans can stream games on FloSports, a streaming service in partnership with the Pioneer League.
