Last week, New York police described Williams as a “dark-skinned male” who wore a dark baseball cap, blue T-shirt, black pants and white sneakers while carrying a schoolbag.

The attack occurred at 11:50 a.m. on May 8 as Buscemi, 66, was walking on a sidewalk on Third Avenue near E. 27th Street in Kips Bay.

Emergency medical personnel took Buscemi to Bellevue Hospital to treat the injury to his left eye which was bruised, swollen and bleeding.

Buscemi is a Brooklyn native and former firefighter who assisted his former FDNY unit in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attack in 2001.

Buscemi has starred in dozens of films and television productions, including the lead role in the HBO series “Boardwalk Empire” which ran for five seasons.

“Boardwalk Empire” co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was also randomly attacked by a man with a rock while walking in Central Park on March 31.

Stuhlbarg pursued his attacker and detained him until police could respond and arrest him.

Police identified Stuhlbarg’s alleged attacker as Xavier Israel, 27, who was charged with assault in the attack.
