NY Times accuses GOP governors of ‘causing havoc’ by ferrying commuters to Democratic sanctuary cities

The New York Times accuses Republican governors of “causing havoc” by busing border residents hosted by the Biden administration to Democratic sanctuary cities.

As Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey (R) continue to bus commuters and illegal aliens to Democratic sanctuary cities, the Time published an article titled “GOP Governors Cause Havoc by Ferrying Migrants to East Coast” in which Republicans are apparently blamed for President Joe Biden’s massive capture and release operation.

The Time reports:

A political tactic by the governors of Texas and Arizona to offload problems caused by record levels of migration at the border is starting to hit the bull’s eye in Washington, as hundreds of undocumented migrants arriving each week on free governors’ buses increasingly test the capital’s ability to provide emergency food and shelter. [Emphasis added]

With no money and no family to receive them, migrants are overwhelmingly immigrant nonprofits and other volunteer groups, many of whom end up in homeless shelters or on park benches.. Five buses arrived recently, knocking down young men and families with nowhere to go on the streets near the Capitol. [Emphasis added]

About 15 church and community groups in Washington opened their doors to migrants, providing meals, showers and hygiene items during the day. But increase in bus frequencyfrom two to four a day to now sometimes eight, ran out of donations and exceeded capacity, and many volunteers contracted Covid-19Ms. Scherff said. [Emphasis added]

As Breitbart News exclusively reported, buses of migrants from Texas began arriving at the Port Authority of New York near the New York Times building. A bus that arrived on Friday was filled mostly with single adult males who have no connection to the United States.

The numbers of cross-border commuters and illegal aliens that sanctuary jurisdictions like Washington, DC, and New York have had to absorb pale in comparison to the levels encountered by US border communities.

Since April, for example, Abbott has sent more than 6,200 cross-border commuters and illegal aliens to Washington, D.C. Ducey has also sent about 1,000 since May. Compare that figure of around 7,200 to the 7,100 cross-border workers and illegal aliens who flood US border communities every day for months as a result of Biden’s Catch and Release program.

This operation has turned the US-Mexico border into a checkpoint for border commuters and illegal aliens where they are apprehended, briefly detained, and then returned with work permits, and sometimes cellphones, to US communities.

Soon, the Biden administration will entice foreign nationals to make the often deadly journey to the southern border by providing government-issued identification cards so they can travel more freely across the interior of the United States and access to public benefits.

From February 2021 to May 2022, the Biden administration released over one million cross-border commuters and illegal aliens inside the United States. The administration has yet to reveal how many were released in June and July.
