He backs up.
The star of “CSI: NY”, Gary Sinise, moved away from Hollywood after the tragic death of his son Mac.
“Something can happen and it will be fair, but it is more difficult to leave the house now,” he told people in an interview published on Wednesday.
“I just want to be with my family. Since I lost Mac, I have kept my daughters much tighter. You think of things that are really important. ”
The son of the actor “Forrest Gump”, McCanna – also known as Mac – died in January 2024 at 33 after a 5 and a half year old battle with a form of cancer called Chordoma.
Sinise and his wife, Moira Harris – The couple have been married since 1981 – also share the girls Sophie and Ella, and have five grandchildren.
Sinise, who won an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Tony, is also known for “Forrest Gump”, “Apollo 13” and “The Green Mile”.
To make things more difficult, Sinise’s wife also had a battle with stadium breast cancer – which she survived, but Sinise declared to the point of sale that the health fights of his wife and son were “a punch” which he had sailed since 2018.
In 2020, when Mac was hospitalized for six months, Sinise moved away.
“It was then that I stopped acting,” said Sinise.
“I started to put everything I had to try to find a miracle for Mac.”
The actor “Apollo 13” said that he was based on his Catholic faith during his son’s cancer battle.
“Hope keeps you in the fight. You could see tumors on his body. You knew that the drugs did not work. But I didn’t think we were going to lose it.”
Sinise added: “He didn’t want to go. But I know that Mac was in peace at the end. He treated it with grace and courage.”
Since Mac’s death, Sinise has moved away from the spotlight and has spent time with her family in her house in Tennessee.
“Mac has left us beautiful things,” said Sinise, referring to the way her son was a musician and composer. “I want people to know who he was.”
Sinise worked to publish the music of her son of deceased and hopes to see a live orchestra playing him, he said.
“I want people to hear their music. I want people to share it. I am on a mission. I thought the other day: “What is happening when all these projects are carried out?” Well, I’m going to hang them as long as possible.
