- Nick Politis, Mark Bouris probed on the incident in Las Vegas
- The power brokers would have abused a main arbiter
The boss of the Roosters, Nick Politis, is said to have been the subject of an investigation by the LNR integrity unit concerning an incident that took place in Las Vegas last weekend.
Politis, as well as director Mark Bouris, would have abused a main referee at the Nines tournament, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
Referee Mitch James, 35, said that he was approached by Politis and Bouris after the swimming pool match between the Roosters of the Roosters and the brisbane veterans on Friday.
In a statement, James explained the situation and also revealed that he had been withdrawn from his touchline assignment for the Greece vs USA game to play later.
“M. Mark Bouris and Mr. Nick Politis confronted me. He wrote.
‘M. Bouris said: “I saw a lot of football and it was a shame! You pushed us back from the game.”

“I replied:” And all your advice was good too, is it, Mark? “After that, Mr. Politis began to make additional comments, how the field manager intervened and moved me away from the situation.
Bouris confirmed that an incident occurred after the match, but says that neither he nor politisian was hostile.
“We were not in his face, I made sure that we were our distance. We were not threatening and we did not abuse him and we did not swear, “he said.
“We reviewed and I said that I had seen a lot of football and that the arbitration was shameful. Nick said something similar. I don’t think I told him he pushed us back from the game ”. Maybe someone else said that.
“He may have filed an official complaint against us, but we filed one against him during the tournament due to the bad arbitration standard.”
James told Herald that he complained because he was fed up with the alleged abuse that the referees endure.
“I am a simple Dapto guy, but I don’t create it from anyone,” said James.
“It is not about me, this is what we have implemented every weekend of spectators who do not like our decisions.
“I have nothing to gain or lose that. What I say is that week after week, due to the position I am in the management of referees for the entire Illawarra, I know that these incidents are not isolated from Las Vegas.
Daily Mail Australia contacted the roosters to comment.
