Too often, you find yourself in a large group, following a tourist guide with a megaphone, doing activities that feel like you are checking a box. What if there was a more authentic way of discovering a city?
Today, we introduce completely redesigned airbnb experiences – hosted by residents who know their city best. We are launching experiences in 650 cities around the world and adding more every day. Discover the best parts of a city with experiences like:

- Gastronomic visits, cooking lessons and culinary experiences

Airbnb experiences are verified for quality, emphasizing expertise, reputation and authenticity. Hosts are assessed in areas like experience, their link with the city and customer comments. And this process is underway – we regularly examine experiences to make sure they meet our high standards.
We also introduce Airbnb Originals – extraordinary experiences organized by the most interesting people in the world, designed exclusively for Airbnb. Learn pastry at the famous French bakery of bastards with chef Raphaelle Elbaz, or play Beach Volley with Olympian Carol Solberg on the emblematic beach of Leblon de Rio. Some originals are even organized by global celebrities. Later this year, you will be able to see who goes before booking, send a message to the group or to individual guests during the experience and stay in contact later, all with simple and transparent confidentiality checks. A whole new Airbnb application
Since 2010, the Airbnb application has been designed to do one thing: book a house. With the launch of services and experiences, we have rebuilt the application from zero so that you can easily reserve all in one place.
The best part is that the travel application with you. After reserving your home, the application suggests services and experiences that we think you will like according to where you are staying and with whom you are4. When you arrive at your destination, the application welcomes you with a detailed route, including the recording details and a daily view of everything you have reserved for Airbnb. And throughout your stay, you will get recommendations for experiences that occur nearby.
We have redesigned almost all parts of the application, in particular:

A whole new home page to discover houses in popular destinations, experiences that correspond to your schedule and your services around the world.
Trip tabs
An advanced travel route with a calendar of your trip, details on your home and the services and experiences you have booked.
Messages
A revised messaging platform with photo and video sharing and integrated payments for personalization of services.
Profile
An Airbnb Redensé profile allows you to share where you have traveled on Airbnb and see the people you met along the way. Airbnb profiles also highlight the more than 200 million guests and hosts around the world who have completed our identity verification process.
We have also rebuilt the application for hosts to include everything they need to manage their house, service or experience:
- Airbnb configuration – A simplified listing creation tool allows hosts to easily submit a service or experience to Airbnb.
- Tab today – A brand new reservations management tab allows you to easily see details on reservations to come to help hosts provide exceptional hospitality.
- Calendar – A redrawn calendar offers a new daily view with a time schedule per hour and includes real -time integration with the Google calendar.
- Lists tab – The new list management tools for the services and experiences allow hosts to easily adjust all aspects of their list, from location to pricing.
The Airbnb application is built on a new technological battery which allows hosts to offer houses, services and experiences – and many other offers in the years to come.
