New Orleans police are investigating a shooting that killed a woman in the French Quarter. Police say the shooting happened in the 700 block of St. Peter Street shortly after 4:30 a.m. and the victim was shot while sitting in her car. NOPD says when they arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found a woman with a gunshot wound. When paramedics arrived, she was pronounced dead at the scene. This is an ongoing investigation.
