The world number three Carlos Alcaraz has moved away from the collective appeal filed by the Professional Tennis Players’ Association (PTPA) against the sporting organs of sport, saying that it had surprised it.
The PTPA, a advocacy group created by Novak Djokovic and Vasek Pospisil, filed the trial on Tuesday accusing ATP, WTA, the International Tennis Federation and the International Agency for Tennis Integrity Agency.

He said that the guiding bodies also ignored the well-being of players and that in a section of the 163-page document included a quote from the Grand Chemle Slam Four Times Alcaraz champion, who criticized the hectic tennis calendar last September.
“It was surprising for me because no one had told me about it,” Alcaraz told journalists at the Miami Open.
“Yesterday, I saw on social networks that they put something that I said at a press conference in the documents and I was not aware of it. Honestly, I do not support this letter, because I did not aware of it.”
The Director of Men, the ATP, rejected the allegations of the PTPA and declared that the defenders’ defense group was guilty of “division and distraction” while the WTA of women described the trial as “regrettable and erroneous”.
Pospisil said the PTPA had spoken to more than 300 players and had a lot of support, including the best players.
Australian Nick Kyrgios, one of the 12 current and former players, named complainants as well as the PTPA in the American costume in New York, said that it had marked a “special moment” and that it was high time that the voices of the players were heard.
“There are things with which I agree with and there are other things with which I do not agree,” added Alcaraz.
“Anyway, the main thing is that I do not support what has been done.”
