Nintendo has updated Its list of Switch 1 games which will be compatible with the Switch 2 today, on May 27, 2025, with a lot of games needing a free update to operate on the new console.
Titles such as Eternal doom,, Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the mist,, Gal Guardians: Demon PurgeAnd Pizza Now have a note next to them, saying that compatibility is “planned to be resolved via an update”.
Before this update, only Fitness boxing was confirmed to obtain an update. Now, more than 40 games have made fixes due by the launch of the console or “shortly after”. You can take a look at the full game list on Nintendo website.
There are still fairly noticeable titles with problems, such as Extraterrestrial isolation,, Nights Neverwinter: improved edition,, HarvestAnd Overcooked! Everything you can eat. In addition, a handful of new games have been Added to the list of starting problems. I hope we will have more news about it soon.
In addition to these new updates, Nintendo has also confirmed that a number of applications available on switch 1 will not work on Switch 2. These are:
- Niconico
- Abema
- Hulu
- Crunchyroll
- Inkype
We do not know if the Switch 2 obtains these same applications on the line, or if it obtains additional streaming applications, so we will have to wait and see.
