Alleged new images of the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con controller surfaced online today, offering a new look at the new version of the controller launching with the system.
The new images, shared on the Nintendo Switch 2 subreddit by SwordfishAgile3472, showcase the side and back of the controller, offering a new look at the simple color scheme and some of the changes from the current controller, such as bigger shoulder buttons and more. . While there’s no way to know if the images feature the real controller, it looks legit with its attention to detail and the presence of a serial number, which could land the leaker in serious trouble with Nintendo.

2025 has barely started, but we still managed to learn plenty of new things about the Nintendo Switch 2, even without an official announcement. A few days ago, images showing the system’s motherboard surfaced online, which have been scrutinized in an attempt to determine the process node used for the T239 chip that powers the console. A patent filed by Nintendo earlier this week also appears to confirm that the system will indeed support NVIDIA DLSS upscaling, as has been rumored for quite a while.
