Nintendo releases an update for Switch (version 18.1.0), here are the details

Following a system firmware update in June (taking the Switch to Version 18.1.0), Nintendo has now rolled out another “no-reboot” update.

This was detailed by dataminer “OatmealDome” on social media, who once again mentions that these updates “do not require a console restart and often contain minor changes.” This latest build has (you guessed thatt) has updated the “swear word list”. We won’t go into details, but it seems that this list blocks a “way to avoid censorship” to write a certain word in Japanese.

The original 18.1.0 update for Switch was tied to the discontinuation of X (formerly Twitter) integration and some features related to games like Smash Bros. and the Splatoon series. The same update also included some “general system stability improvements” to improve the overall user experience.
