The center of Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokić joined Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook as the only players in the history of the NBA to make the average of a triple-double during a regular season.
The Triple MVP of the NBA confirmed the honor on Friday in a home match against the Memphis grizzlymen, when he marked another triple-double.
This marked the 34th triple-double of Jokić of the season.
Jokić ended the match with 26 points, 16 rebounds and 13 assists, and Denver won 117-109. He now has an average of 29.8 points, 12.8 rebounds and 10.3.
On Sunday, Jokić will play his 70th and last regular season game, a game on the road against the Houston Rockets. He entered 696 assists on Friday, so he only needed four dimes for 700 in total to lock 10.0 APG for the year.
Jokić obtained this with ease, cementing one of the most remarkable individual seasons in the history of the NBA. A large man had never been on average of triple-double-double before, with Robertson and Westbrook, who did it four times, the two guards.
But Jokić did it on Friday, adding another line to a huge CV.
