Go a long time!
Amazon MGM Studios began production on his film “Madden” – and a shocking photo at first glance from the film stars was released on Tuesday.
Like the image, Nicolas Cage seems unrecognizable with shaggy hair while the NFL diffuser in the Oakland Raiders coach John Madden.
The same goes for Christian Bale as the owner of the Raiders Al Davis.
The two Oscar winners are in a standing character on a football field pointing their Rings from the Super Bowl to the camera.
“The film follows the remarkable course of Madden – of its winning partnership of the Super Bowl with Al Davis and The Raiders, to the creation of” Madden NFL “, and to become one of the most emblematic voices in the history of football,” said Amazon in a press release.
David O. Russell directs and writes the biopic “Madden”, after Cambron Clark wrote a previous version of the script. Russell, 66, was nominated for the Oscars for “The Fighter”, “Silver Links Playbook” and “American Hustle”.
The cast also includes John Mulaney as a founder of the electronic arts (EA), Trip Hawkins, Kathryn Hahn as wife of John, Virginia Madden, and Sienna Miller as AL wife, Carol Davis.
The producer team features Russell, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, Jonathan Shukat, Matthew Budman, Colin Wilson, David Bloomfield, Michael Strahan and Constance Schwartz-Morini.
Madden first won the reputation as a Raiders coach under the property of Davis, leading the team to seven AFC championship games and winning the Super Bowl after the 1976 season.
He found more success in his broadcasting career and became the name and face of video games “John Madden Football” and “Madden NFL”.
Madden died in December 2021 at 85 years old.
Davis, on the other hand, was the owner and managing director of the raiders for 39 years. He was known for his motto “Just, wins, baby”.
The legend of sport died in October 2011 at the age of 82. He died of congestive heart failure.
The film “Madden” was announced for the first time in development in 2023. At the time, Will Ferrell would have been in talks to play the role of holder, out of date.
Then in April 2024, a report said that Hugh Jackman was in the mix to play Madden, while Tom Hanks would have entered negotiations to represent Davis.
But a few months later, Cage, 61, was officially presented as Madden. Bale, 51, was then confirmed to join the project as Davis.
“Madden” has no release date yet.
