Nicola Peltz hires lawyers after her dog dies and is heartbroken by the loss

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ… Nicola has retained a legal team and is considering taking on the upstate New York grooming business that worked on her pup at a home she was staying at before Nala suffered a fatal medical emergency.

We’re told that Nala had an exam with her longtime vet before the trip to New York and was found to be fit and healthy… which is why her sudden passing was so shocking to Nicola.

Sources say that Nicola and her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, I have been a customer of the grooming company with no prior issues…I occasionally use this groomer around town with my family.

However, this time, there were many warning signs… several of their dogs behaved strangely following the groomer’s services on June 14. We’re told the dogs were dropped off one by one, with the groomer’s van parked near the property. . Sources say Nala was sent home last and was in very bad condition.

As Nala gasped for breath because of her blue tongue, Nicola rushed the chihuahua to a vet… where she died hours later. We’re told vet records show Nala had fluid in her lungs, a racing heart and neurological issues before she died.

As Nala had no underlying health conditions, there was no reason for her to die from simple grooming… which is why Nicola is taking legal action. The actress’ legal vendetta has nothing to do with money…rather, she wants to avoid a similar tragedy.

Nicola, a staunch animal rights activist, wants answers about Nala’s time with the groomer, but we’re told there were no cameras in the grooming van… raising questions about what went on inside.

Sources tell us the groomer is no longer cooperating with Nicola’s legal team.
