Nicola Coughlan wore a wedding dress to the ‘Bridgerton’ season 3 premiere

It is with my greatest pleasure to present to you THE Lady Whistledown herself: Nicola Coughlan. This author (aka Coughlan) introduced himself to The Bridgerton Chronicles the season 3 premiere in a stunning peplum wedding dress that had the ton – I mean, the internet – gagging.

On Monday night, Coughlan stepped out in New York for the premiere of the hit Netflix show, looking ready to walk down the aisle (perhaps an Easter egg for Polin Stans). The actress, who plays this season’s leading lady Penelope Featherington, stunned in an It girl-approved Danielle Frankel dress, featuring scooped straps, structured center paneling, a peplum waist and long train removable.

She wore the Regencycore dress with a modern twist with matching opera gloves and white pointed toe pumps. When it came time for accessories, Coughlan stayed true to the regal vibe of the look with opulent emerald earrings and matching rings. Coughlan’s blonde hair was styled in the middle, tucked behind her ears and worn behind her shoulders. Her glamor included a dramatic cat eye, feathery eyelashes and a bright red lip.

On the carpet, Coughlan was joined by her counterpart Luke Newton, who plays Colin Bridgerton. The on-screen couple made fans admire their effortless chemistry. At one point, Coughlan looked at Newton as the cameras flashed.

Although the co-stars would make a super sweet duo in real life, Coughlan said Additional that the two are just really good friends when asked about the dating rumors. “We think it’s really sweet, I think because we really love each other,” she said on the carpet. “I will never have the opportunity to do something like this again, on this scale. It’s so nice to have such a sweet friend that I can do all this with.

As for the steamy scenes that have become such a major part of the The Bridgerton Chronicles world, Coughlan said In the style that the friends had a very “good time” filming them. “It was just like a combination of a lot of different things,” she said at the premiere. “I’m excited.”

“The night before, I’ll be like, ‘Oh my god, this is crazy!’ But I’m really, really proud of them,” she continued. “I think the feeling I had when I first looked at them was so proud, so happy, they are really beautifully written.”
