“Due to the events of the past week, Nicki Minaj’s show on Sunday June 2 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam will no longer take place,” Dutch promoter Mojo announced on its website today. “Tickets will be refunded at point of sale. »

Minaj documented her arrest on social media by police at an airport in the Netherlands last week for “transporting drugs,” the kidnapper said. Minaj was on her way to Manchester for the next leg of her Pink Friday 2 world tour, but she had to postpone the show due to her legal issues. She has repeatedly denied the Dutch authorities’ allegations.

In a series of X-rated messages, Minaj claimed officers “took my luggage without my consent” and were “trying to take me away from MANCHESTER”. She added: “Actually it’s Amsterdam, where weed is legal. »

According to the BBC, Dutch police said Minaj was fined and allowed to continue her trip. In a statement, Minaj said she sat in a jail cell for “5 to 6 hours” and that her plane wasn’t allowed to take off until another 20 minutes after she boarded. Minaj went on to allege that the airport stop was part of a plan to lure her away from Manchester and derail her tour.

“They get paid a lot of money to try to sabotage my tour because so many people are mad that it’s such a success and they can’t eat me,” the “Moment 4 Life” rapper wrote on X.” They got caught stealing money from my trips/jets. Got fired. Etc.

In a video shared by a fan account, the 41-year-old tells fans waiting outside her hotel: “I love you and I’m so sorry this happened tonight.”
