Nick Chubb ‘agrees to rework $11.75 million deal and take LESS money’… while Browns running back works to return from knee injury

Nick Chubb will return to Cleveland next year – but at a lower salary than expected, after the running back reportedly agreed to rework his contract.

Chubb, 28, is widely considered one of the best running backs in the league but is returning from a brutal torn ACL and MCL suffered in Week 2 of last season.

And according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Chubb agreed to reduce his base salary by $11.75 million for next year – with the possibility of getting it back through incentives.

Chubb underwent two separate procedures to repair his ACL.
