“Great players recognize greatness,” Jackson said of Allen, as quoted by Syracuse.com. “We both recognized each other, you know? But I told him, “Dude, go get something, go win something, man.” MVP, Super Bowl, do something. I want him to succeed.

Allen and company will now face Mahomes’ Chiefs, who have won the last two Super Bowls, with a ticket to New Orleans online. Besides Bills Mafia, Buffalo could have a star quarterback backing them up, with Jackson hoping to see Allen succeed.

Allen may have won the MVP battle with Jackson

Jackson and Allen took center stage throughout the year, with both quarterbacks make a strong case for MVP. And while it’s a regular-season award, the Bills’ recent win over the Ravens could end up giving Allen the upper hand, regardless of the outcome against Mahomes’ Chiefs.

But far from wanting it Buffalo for leaving him empty-handed for another year, Jackson only wish the best for his colleague. Now that he’s out of Super Bowl contention, Lamar would be happy to see Allen get his hands on the Vince Lombardi Trophy. But the former first-round pick is even rooting for the Bills star to win the MVP award ahead of him. This only says a lot about his sportsmanship.

Allen also showed great attitude toward Jackson, as the Bills quarterback immediately sought out the Ravens star to shake his hand after the game. During his post-match press conference, Allen gave the ultimate praise on the 2x NFL MVP.

“I have so much respect and love for him” Allen said of Jackson. “The way he plays the game. He’s a real competitor, he’s a real football player. One of the greatest to ever step on the football field. So nothing but love.
