The draft of the NFL 2025 has passed, ending three long days for the League and the months of scouting for the 32 teams. Some project courses will provide immediate results (look at the Eagles of Philadelphia 2024) while others will take years to see if their class is good or bad.
Even with full draft, there were still many notable dishes from the three days of the annual selection meeting. The Jacksonville jaguars have given up a ransom of kings to select Travis Hunter, while the Cleveland Browns stacked their recovery capital to take two quarters (including Shedeur Sanders). The Browns quarter-Arrière room this summer will be a show to see.
The Pittsburgh steelers even took a quarter of a quarter later in this draft (Will Howard), while the New York Giants added a player whom they believe to be their franchise quarter (Jaxson Dart) as well as the selection undoubtedly of the best player in Abdul Carter.
The way in which these draft courses take place will be determined over time, because it is essentially the last year, the project will have the six -year -old elders and the years counted following the pandemic of five years ago. This does not mean that there is no immediate excessive reaction for certain choices and how they take place in the teams.
What excessive reactions of the NFL 2025 draft will stick? What are excessive reactions that are reality? It is time to dive into the biggest scenarios of the project.
Will Howard will be the steelers’ departure QB in week 1
Excessive reaction or reality: Excessive reaction
The Steelers selected Howard in the sixth round, finally finding a quarter of a quarter in this project after having succeeded several at the start of the towers (including Sanders, Dart and Milroe). Given the current Steelers situation, Howard is undoubtedly the best quarter of the list.
Mason Rudolph is the starter, but Howard could beat him with a strong pre-season. It would not be surprising if Howard started in week 1 with this current quarter group.
This project presented that the Steelers expect Aron Rodgers soon in the building and resumes the reins of QB1. This gives Pittsburgh time to develop Howard.
Sheder Sanders reacts to be chosen by Browns: “Thank you for giving me a chance”
Jeff Kerr

Sheder Sanders will not make the brown list
Excessive reaction or reality: Excessive reaction
The Browns quarter-back situation is sufficient to give anyone to anyone. Think of the four movements that Cleveland has made to reorganize the quarter-back room: exchange for Kenny Pickett, sign Joe Flacco, using a choice of third round on Dillon Gabriel and a choice of fifth round on Sanders. These movements are not exactly attractive.
Pickett should be the first-courier to win the departure position with Flacco as a veteran competition. Who knows how Gabriel and Sanders play, but there is a case to make Sanders has the most talent and athletics of the four. If one of these players struggles and Sanders was a strong summer, there is a good bet that he will start a game in 2025 if he lists. Keep in mind that the Browns do not cut Flacco or Pickett, and Gabriel was a choice of third round. What would it look like?
The Browns will probably keep four -quarters – they also injured Deshaun Watson to manage – and Sanders will be part of this quarter room. This quarter roulette will last at least a year.
The brown made a mistake by taking two QB
Excessive reaction or reality: Reality
Who knows exactly what the Browns do in this project? Cleveland was wise to exchange from n ° 2 to n ° 5 in total, even if it meant to transmit one of the few players “Blue Chip” in this Hunter project. With all the choices that the Browns have received, Cleveland had an excellent opportunity to accelerate their reconstruction.
Once the Browns took Gabriel around 3, it seemed to be the recruit quarter that they would develop behind Pickett and Flacco. It turns out that Cleveland exchanged Tour 5 to select Sanders and add another quarter-rear to the mixture.
The Browns have been the first team since 1971 to select two consecutive quarters which were taken by the same team in the first five laps (Houston Oilers with Dan Pastorini and Lynn Dickey). The two players had a solid career, but it was probably not the wise movement since Dickey found his place with another organization.
Cleveland will probably waste a choice here, that Gabriel or Sanders take place, or two choices if the two are fighting. It looks like the Browns have created an unnecessary problem.
The eagles were intelligent without exchanging Dallas Goedert
Excessive reaction or reality: Reality
It always seemed silly that the Eagles would exchange Goedert for a recovery choice of day 3 in what was perceived as a weak draft class. Many tight ends have left the table early, which also had the Eagles to obtain a choice of day 2 for Goederte – which is in the last year of his contract.
Goenert is a good player and an asset for a team that seems to repeat as champions of the Super Bowl. The Eagles did not need much in attack this offseason, apart from the offensive line and the depth of the wide receiver. The tight group of Philadelphia has been the deepest for years, and Goedert has been a massive asset in the game of passes.
Insurance too much meaning to allow Goederrt to play his contract. Eagles must ensure that it is around 2025.
The giants made a massive error taking only one offensive line player
Excessive reaction or reality: Excessive reaction
The giants had one of their best sketches. They undoubtedly wrote the best draft player in the Rusher of Pass Abdul Carter at No. 3 in total and did not have to abandon a lot to climb eight places and take a leaflet on Dart at No. 25. The defensive platforms Darius Alexander and the ball carrier Cam Skattebo were also good choices.
The giants have an excellent defensive front and a good back room. Unfortunately for New York, the offensive line still has the same problems as last year. In a project filled with good offensive line players, the Giants did not take it before the fifth round (Marcus Mbow from Purdue). Offensive line problems have harmed the giants in the last decade and will probably be a problem in 2025.
In any case, the giants need better training and better development in advance if the offensive line can succeed. They didn’t need to go to the offensive line this year, choosing to improve the other areas of the list. New York has driven offensive lines in the draft for years and was burned by this strategy.
The giants are better but still have a long way to go.
