Chicago Bears set to beat Tennessee Titans

The Caleb Williams era begins in Chicago with the Titans visiting Soldier Field. Quarterback Williams was the unanimous choice as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft and comes into the league with many analysts believing he is a potential superstar.

Chicago started off slow last season, going 1-5, but improved as the season went on, winning six of their last 11 games. Much of that improvement can be attributed to their defense, which allowed the fewest points per game in the NFL as of Week 10.

Alongside Williams, they added real depth to their attack, signing veteran Keenan Allen and drafting exciting Rome Odunze in the first round.

The Titans are entering their first season without talisman Derrick Henry and will rely on second-year quarterback Will Levis to move the ball. A road game against a confident team seems like a tall order for Week 1.

Cincinnati Bengals set to beat New England Patriots

A combination of injuries and bad luck has led to the Bengals having a subpar season in 2023. Quarterback Joe Burrow never looked 100% before his season ended prematurely due to injury. If he gets back to 100% health, he’s one of the best players in the league and the Bengals should at least secure a playoff spot.

Their opponent, the New England Patriots, were one of the worst teams last season and a quick fix doesn’t seem realistic. The moves they made this offseason seem more focused on the future than the 2024 season, and will likely end with one of the worst records in the league. It seems likely that the Bengals will get off to a good start Sunday night.

Houston Texans set to beat Indianapolis Colts

CJ Stroud has been a revelation in his first season and the Texans will be looking to make it a big win against their division rival Colts on Sunday. They added Stefan Diggs to an already stellar offense and Stroud has plenty of options to move the ball.

Division games are traditionally tight and this won’t be an easy contest. The Colts welcome back Anthony Richardson from injury and are a good team on paper. However, the Texans feel a bit further along in their progression than the Colts and should start the season with a win.

Miami Dolphins beat Jacksonville Jaguars

Miami is off to a hot start with a 6-2 record through its first eight games in 2023 and will look to repeat or improve on that record in 2024. Head coach Mike McDaniel is a natural innovator and will likely have a few new tricks planned to start the season. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is blessed with the league’s best wide receiver combination in Hill and Waddle, and both will look to crush Jacksonville’s opposition in Week 1.

The Jaguars are a team that can compete with Miami. However, getting to Hard Rock Stadium can be difficult, as the Dolphins finished 7-2 at home last year. Bet on a 1-0 start for the Dolphins.
