The NFL announced on Tuesday the guest teams and the dates of international matches 2025, a list that will send the Vikings of Minnesota abroad for consecutive weeks.

The international calendar of 2025 is as follows. The “reception teams”, which were revealed earlier this year, are listed first.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers vs Minnesota Vikings in Dublin, Ireland (week 4, 28 September)
  • Cleveland Browns against Minnesota Vikings in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (week 5, 5 October)
  • New York Jets against Denver Broncos in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (week 6, 12 October)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars against Los Angeles Rams in London at the Wembley stadium (week 7, 19 October)
  • Indianapolis Colts against Atlanta Falcons in Berlin (week 10, 9 November)
  • Miami Dolphins vs commanders of Washington in Madrid (week 11, 16 November)

A match in São Paulo, Brazil, with the Los Angeles chargeers as a designated home team, is still announced.

The League organized regular international season matches for two decades, dating from October 2, 2005, when the Cardinals of Arizona beat the 49ers from San Francisco to Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

Since then, Commissioner Roger Goodell has clearly explained his desire to expand the international imprint of the NFL. In 2007, the League launched its international series, which has since been part of the NFL calendar each year (with the exception of 2020, due to the Pandemic Covid-19).

Madrid (Stade Santiago Bernabéu), Dublin (Croke Park) and Berlin (Olympiastadion) are new stops for the NFL in 2025. Next year, the League will play its first match in Melbourne, Australia, with Rams as a designated home team.

Since the regular season of 16 to 17 games in 2021, the AFC and NFC teams alternate between nine and eight home games each year.

During the 2025 season, AFC teams play nine home games, which means that those who play abroad are nominal hosts. There are small advantages, but not insignificant, such as the first choice in hotels and to be the first team to leave the stadium.

The seven international games in 2025 are the most in a season. The League organized five international games in five distinct seasons: 2017, ’19, ’22, ’23 and ’24.

The Vikings’ Back-to-Back International Games Are also Remattaches of Two Previous London Appearances-A 34-27 Win Against the Steelers at WEMBENY Stadium in 2013 and A 33-16 Win Against the Browns at Twickenham Stadium in 2017. The Vikings Are 4-0 Overall in International Games In 2022 Against the New Orleans Saints and in 2024 Against the New York Jets, Both at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The jaguars have played a “home” game in London every year since 2013, except 2020, as part of their multi-year commitment to the United Kingdom. In 2023 and 2024, the Jaguars played consecutive weekends in London, more solidifying their familiarity with the British capital.

Of the 13 teams of international matches in 2025, the Steelers are most distant from a trip abroad. The Pittsburgh match in 2013 against Minnesota was its last international appearance, although the Steelers are more familiar with Dublin than others. Pittsburgh played in a 1997 pre-season match against the Bears de Chicago to Croke Park as part of the American Bowl series, while the president and owner of the Steelers, Art Rooney II, has family in the country, and the president of the late Steelers, Daniel M. Rooney, was an American ambassador to Ireland in Irland 2009-12.

On Monday, the League announced that the champion of Super Bowl Philadelphia Eagles will face the Dallas Cowboys during the launch match of the season on Thursday, September 4. The 2025 complete calendar will be released on Wednesday at 8 p.m. on NFL Network.

Why would Vikings be ready to play consecutive matches abroad?

It starts with experience. Minnesota has played in London twice in the last three seasons. The Vikings won the two games. They beat New Orleans in 2022 when the saints made a basket of 61 yards during the final game. Last year, the Vikings sailed on a slope watered against the New York Jets, and the Stephon Gilmore corner half obtained the interception of playing Aaron Rodgers. Minnesota players appreciated the two trips.

The Vikings have adopted the possibility of extending their brand later in Europe. In fact, the Vikings public relations staff even welcomed London media members in Minnesota in the months preceding the Vikings in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Dublin presents a different set of circumstances, but the Vikings probably consider the match as an opportunity to expand their scope. – Alec Lewis, Vikings Beat writer

How do Vikings structure their trip?

During their last two trips to London, the Vikings traveled late during the week. The vice-president of health and performance of players, Tyler Williams, was not interested in acclimating to time zones for days as much as he focused on a quick arrival and an exit. It will probably be different this time. The Vikings could arrive a few days before the first match against the Steelers. Staying the following week seems more likely.

One of the most interesting layers is what a week of early bye will mean for the Vikings on the section of the season. They have hopes in the playoffs. A large part of their list is older, but a large part of the minnesota off -season was oriented towards wanting the peak shape in January. Travel and breaks at the start of the season will compete more on Vikings staff to work intelligently in terms of segmentation of counts and playing time, especially for defense. – Lewis

Why the shock of the jaguars stands out

The game will be family between Rams and Jaguars. The former director of the Los Angeles scouting strategy, James Gladstone, is now the director general of the Jaguars after working under Rams GM the SNEAD from 2016 to 25. The new Jaguar head coach is Liam Coen, who was a assistant under the RAMS head coach, Sean Mcvay, from 2018 to 20 years old and offensive coordinator in 2022. Some senior scouts and analysts from Rams now train, including Jake Temme, Brian Xanders and Brian Hill. – Jourdan Rodrigue, Rams Beat writer

The hawks continue to strong German footprints

It will be the fourth international game of Falcons and the third in the past five years. They lost against the Lions 22-21 in the Wembley stadium in London in 2014, beat the 27-20 jets in the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London in 2021 and lost against the Jaguars 23-7 at the Wembley stadium in 2023.

Atlanta received international marketing rights to Germany by the NFL in 2023. In the supply of these rights, the team underlined its corporate relations with Mercedes-Benz and Delta, which have strong footprints in the country, as well as the opportunity it allowed the Falcons to expand its programs lined up on the American army and the expansion of Football flag.

“We are a leading club to support the army and Germany is one of the largest countries in terms of American bases,” said Falcons team president Greg Beadles at the time of the announcement. “It naturally feeds on what we are already doing.”

Germany also has more than 30,000 flag football participants, said Beadles, and the owner of Atlanta Arthur Blank was one of the country’s main female football supporters, leading an effort that led to more than 300 high schools of the sport.

“We want to continue this in Germany and build the basis of what they already have,” said Beadles. – Josh Kendall, Falcons Beat Writer

More foreign fields for the NFL

The NFL will play in three new stages to add to its growing international inventory.

After matches at the Allianz Arena in Munich (2022, 2024) and the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt (2023), the NFL will land in a new German city in 2025. Olympiastadion welcomed the Berlin Thunder – the three times of the World Bowl of the NFL Europe – and Bundesliga Side Hertha Berlin is now residence. The capacity stadium of the German capital also hosted the 2006 World Cup final and Euro 2024.

The 15 times European champions, Real Madrid, have been playing the Bernabeu since 1947. It is currently reorganized at a cost of 1.76 billion euros ($ 1.91 billion, 1.51 billion pounds sterling) and has land and a retractable roof, and a 360 -degree video dashboard.

The Dublin Croke Park history has housed the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1913 and the annual Gaelic Games regularly attract 82,300 spectators. – Peter Carline
