Neymar suffered a serious knee injury by playing for Brazil against Uruguay in October 2023

He was stretched in agony, but now seems to have put his hell behind him
The international of 128 caps has been the Talisman of Brazil since its beginnings at 18 in 2010.
However, Dorival Junior urged fans and the media not to exert too much pressure on Neymar on his return after his long absence.
“There is no need to talk about what Neymar represents,” he said. “He currently recovers his form, we understand and are aware of it. But we believe that his capacities and qualities allow him to be able to overcome any situation on the ground.
“He is a player whose teammates (Brazil) themselves expressed publicly what he represents for the group.
“We were waiting for him to come back, this is the first opportunity that we could have it (since we recover from an injury). I hope he is very happy when he returns.
“Let us give him the confidence necessary to develop the best of his capacities, let us not create great expectations, do not make all the responsibilities upon his return.”
Brazil is currently fifth in its World Cup qualifying group and still has work to do to secure its place during the tournament next year.
They should face Colombia and the defending world champions in Argentina later this month.
