A 2-month-old baby who was found unresponsive in a hot car in Santee last week was identified Monday by sheriff’s investigators.
Diana Sofia Aleman Roman was found by a family member around 12:20 a.m. June 13 after apparently being left in a parked car, Lt. Lon Nguyen said in a news release Monday. The girl’s family told investigators she arrived at her home on Settle Road near Dalehurst Road around 3 p.m. on June 12, and the child was found about nine hours later, they said. Nguyen.
The family member called 911. Paramedics arrived and took the baby to the hospital, where she died.
His cause of death will be determined by the county medical examiner’s office.
No arrests have been made. Authorities said the investigation was continuing.
