According to the New York Post, a mother of two children from New York continues Disney for $ 2 million after being injured in the Disney Lagoon typhoon in April 2022.

According to the article, Kimberly Panetta was “violently struck by a sudden and energetic wave” while she was in the surf swimming pool of Typhoon Lagoon during a visit of April 2022.
Panetta says that the wave of “mammoth” herself and her 3-year-old daughter underwater over several meters. According to court documents, “the wave struck her aside with such force, she struck her, she and her body, skidded through cement or gunite, causing a serious rash or severe and deep scratches.”
Panetta and her husband Frank, a lawyer, said that their young daughter could have been seriously injured without her rapid reflection to push her over the water.

In the legal file, Panetta details her experience, declaring that their trip was “ruined” and that it “was stuck in the process of applying bandages, salvĂ©s and creams and was forced to avoid swimming and enjoying planned visits in the parks” due to cuts and crushes on its legs.
Frank Panetta says that “Disney only offered a meager credit of $ 250” after the incident.

This is not the first trial filed following an injury linked to the Lapon of Typhon. In May 2024, Laura Reyes-Merino “made a hit on the journey of Humunga Kowabunga, but at some point, he was unconscious after hitting inside the journey.” Humunga Kowabunga is a 214 -foot long slide that does not use tubes. This trial said Walt Disney World failed to “warn of any dangerous condition he knew or should have known” on the Humunga Kowabunga slide at the Disney Lagoon typhoon.
This trial came in the heels of one of the dishes deposited by Emma and Edward McGuinness against the parks and seaside resorts of Walt Disney on a 2019 incident during which Emma McGuinness underwent a “painful wedgie” on the same slide.
