Lawyer IS FIRED after being filmed ripping green wig off woman’s head while walking past her on Manhattan street in now-viral video
- Lizzy Ashleigh, a 29-year-old musician, posted a video after being assaulted
- Social media sleuths identified the thief as attorney Anthony Orlich
- Orlich’s law firm said on LinkedIn on Tuesday that he is no longer with the firm.
A New York lawyer has been fired from his law firm after he was seen on video ripping the wig off a local singer’s head in a video that went viral on TikTok.
Lizzy Ashleigh, a 29-year-old musician from Brooklyn, posted the video of herself arguing with the man, since identified by social media sleuths as Anthony Orlich, seconds after grabbing the wig green and kept walking.
The video begins just seconds after he allegedly takes the hair, with Ashleigh angrily asking, “Sir!” For what fucking reason?!’
“This man just took my wig off and kept walking,” she wrote in the closed caption of the post, which has over 437,000 views. “There are demons in NY, I swear.”
On Wednesday, leader Berkon Colao & Silverstein — the company Orlich apparently works for — announced he had been fired in a post on LinkedIn.

“We have been made aware of a video of a non-work related incident involving one of our associates circulating on social media.
“We take any inappropriate behavior on the part of an employee seriously, whether inside or outside the workplace. This partner is no longer part of the Firm.
The company also separately confirmed to the New York Post that, without naming the employee, he was terminated.
The incident happened on West 35th Street and 6th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
In the initial video, the attacker appears to respond to his companions by telling him to apologize when he asks, “For what?”
“Why did you take off my wig?” Ashleigh asked angrily. “What made you think it was the right thing to do?” she continued. ‘Why did you do it ? What makes you think it’s OK?’
The man continues to have a smile on his face, with Ashleigh saying “it’s not funny”. You do not even know me. Do you hate women or what?
Users on TikTok and Twitter said they believed Orlich was the perpetrator, although the law firm did not confirm this when it announced that its employee was no longer with the firm.
Ashleigh’s problem, according to a separate TikTok, was that while she was wearing a wig, it was sewn into her actual hair, which meant the pulling hurt her neck.
She has since filed a report with police but has stopped commenting on the incident, according to her latest TikTok post.

‘I am unable to say more at this time as I move forward legally. I appreciate everyone who has identified, called and emailed!.’
DailyMail.com has contacted the NYPD to comment on the incident.
They said a ticket had indeed been filed for assault but they had yet to identify the courier who took the wig.
They noted Ashleigh suffered a “minor injury” but no arrests were made and the investigation was still ongoing.
