New images of the Parc des Princes tunnel have revealed a confrontation between the captain of Liverpool Virgil Van Dijk and the sports director of Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Campos.
Campos raged to the referee’s decision not to show the defender of the Reds Ibrahima Konate a red card for a push on Bradley Barcola in the first half. The incident was checked by Var, but the officials decided not to have other measures after a two -minute exam.
Always exasperated by the call to break, Campos pleads his case while the players returned to the locker room. However, the skipper of the Reds van Dijk seemed to contest the passionate appeal and to retaliate with a scathing jibe.
“It is not Ligue 1 here, brother,” we could hear that the Dutchman saying above the handful of voice attracted by the agitation.
Konate was considered largely lucky to escape The Shove’s censorship on her international colleague in the hours that followed.
Former defender Rio Ferdinand insisted that the fan was a fault and should have caused a red card, since Konate seemed to deny an opportunity as a scorer and that the contact took place outside the penalty area.

The Portuguese thought that his team should have received a penalty or a konate should have been shown a red card for a push on Bradley Barcola

Konate had the chance to escape without punishment during the first half of the confrontation at the Parc des Princes
“It’s a fault,” said Manchester United icon while commenting on the TNT sports match. “And it’s behind his back, it’s a fault. It’s a red card.
“It is not a red card, I will be surprised,” added Ferdinand during the Var checks.
“And it will be a shame if he will go down to 10 against 11 in this direction, because you want the best players to play it also within 90 minutes.”
Speaking at halftime on TNT Sports, Ferdinand said: “I can’t believe how lucky Liverpool is. How did Var not picked up.
“It bursts between the shoulder blades on the back.”
The man in the center of the fury rejected the assertions that he should have rejected for the dispute.
Addressing Canal Plus, Konate said: “There was a Var check. If there was a push, as you said, I would have been shown a red card. I tell you there was no fault.
He then added: “It’s true that I am very strong but I do not apply power, I just put my arm. If I had put much more power, we could talk about it … but it was soft about me.
The anger of PSG was aggravated when Liverpool snatched a late winner thanks to the replacement Harvey Elliott, putting the side of the Premier League before the next week’s return match in Anfield.
