Another day, another Nintendo Switch 2 leak – this time regarding images that claim to be of a Joy-Con for the Nintendo Switch successor.
As Tom reported a while ago, we’ve had a good idea of what the Switch 2 will look like for a while – at least since a prototype console shell and internals surfaced online end of September. But in recent weeks, more images have been released, this time of accessory companies now taking orders for Switch 2 add-ons, which show close estimates of Nintendo’s next console in more detail.
We now have brand new images of what would be the next generation of Joy-Con controllers with magnetic Joy-Con attachments and an additional button under Home on the right Joy-Con.
Apparently hailing from China, the Joy-Con features its new magnetic accessory as well as a revised color scheme that differs from existing Joy-Cons.

If the images are authentic – and as of yet, there’s no proof – it looks like we can also expect enlarged SL and SR buttons, and maybe even a mouse-style optical sensor. You can check out the photos yourself in the X post above or in the embedded subreddit thread below:

If the images are not fake and actually come from a Chinese factory that makes the new machines (apparently the Joy-Con has a system serial number that would be validated by Nintendo’s Check Warranty page), it seems to increasingly unlikely that Nintendo will exceed its self-imposed deadline of March 31, 2025 to introduce its Switch successor.
When it arrives, fans are expecting next year’s highly anticipated blockbuster Metroid Prime 4 to launch on Nintendo’s new hardware. Nintendo also confirmed that the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible.
