Author’s note: Samsung took home winners earlier this year in the form of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, and they have been widely considered some of the best premium phones of 2023. Their sales have also aligned with reviews that they received from experts and consumers in general. And this was largely due to the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor, which is extremely powerful and very energy efficient. The phones do not have any issues related to overheating, throttling, or battery life.
However, with the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung is returning to using Exynos chips in the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ in most markets. If the chipset does not perform as well as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Samsung will face many problems and customer dissatisfaction. It therefore remains to be seen what the performance of the Exynos 2400 is and whether there would be a significant delta in performance, autonomy or stability compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor used in the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ at Canada and the United States and the Galaxy S24 Ultra worldwide.
