New initiative launched to help find missing baby and juvenile

Lina Sardar Khil and Lorne Mytravion Jones both went missing around the same time in San Antonio last year.

SAN ANTONIO — Multiple organizations will be teaming up to try to generate leads in the missing persons cases of Lina Sardar Khil and Lorne MyTravion ‘Trey’ Jones, who each went missing around the same time in San Antonio last year.

The Texas Center for the Missing, San Antonio Police Department, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Clear Channel Outdoor Americas will be broadcasting messages for a month throughout San Antonio in an attempt to collect leads in both jurisdictions.

Lina Sardar Khil went missing on December 20, 2021 while playing on the grounds of her Northwest Side home in the 9400 block of Fredericksburg Road. Trey Jones was last seen in the 9100 block of Broadway on December 17, 2021.

Khil is described as having shoulder length straight hair and was last seen wearing a purple dress, black jacket and black shoes.

Jones, 13, is described as a 5ft 3in tall man with curly hair, brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a purple backpack, and is right-handed.

Khil and Jones’ photographs will likely be shown in rotation on digital billboards throughout the city.

The Texas Department of Public Safety Missing Persons Clearinghouse collected 46,581 missing individual notices in 2021, according to an announcement. Among them, 33,774 were minors.
