New footage has emerged showing the true extent of Tyson Fury’s condition after he was nearly knocked out by Oleksandr Usyk in the ninth round of their heavyweight unification fight.

Usyk knocked down the Briton in the ninth round of their undisputed heavyweight fight on Saturday night, before scoring a split decision victory over the British fighter.

Two judges scored the fight 115-113 and 114-113 in favor of Usyk, while the final judge gave the fight to Fury 114-113.

The Ukrainian fighter was then crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world for the first time in the four-belt era – and became the first fighter to hold every belt in the division since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

While Fury seemed to control the pace of the fight in the early rounds, Usyk rallied late, notably drawing blood from Fury’s nose after punching him in the face several times.

In the ninth round, the Ukrainian unleashed a flurry of punches on the British boxer, destabilizing him while forcing him to hang on to the ropes. Fury appeared to stagger and fell onto the ropes for support, with Usyk being knocked down.

The new undisputed champion has now shared footage of that ringside exchange that shows Fury was seriously struggling to stay on his feet.

The Ukrainian first rocked Fury with a left hook that landed on the chin to send the Gypsy King dancing across the ring.

Usyk relentlessly pursues the Brit and eventually forces him into the corner where Fury is judged to have been knocked down and a count begins.

The new footage shows Fury shaken as he debates whether to return to battle or surrender in defeat.

He finally braces himself for the eight count, walking towards the referee who allows Fury to resume the fight as the round ends seconds later.
