New England has 7 of the best ski resorts in the United States, according to Ski magazine

Ski travel is as much about the stay as the slopes, and seven New England ski resorts are among the best in the country, according to Ski magazine.

The publication released a list of the best ski resorts in the United States as part of its 2023 Resort Guide. Seven New England ski getaways make the list: New Hampshire’s No. 2-rated Smugglers’ Notch resort; New Hampshire’s Bretton Woods ranked No. 4; Killington Mountain Resort in Vermont ranked #6, Mad River Glen ranked #8, Jay Peak ranked #12; New Hampshire’s Waterville Valley ranked No. 14; and Magic Mountain of Vermont ranked No. 16.

The resorts on the list are “the best of the best in the country”, Ski wrote the magazine.

“These represent the ski areas with the best balance of terrain, basic village amenities, family-friendly programming, general ambiance, etc., as voted for by more than 5,000 skiers across North America. North,” the publication wrote.
