A new 4ft tall golden vagina is worshiped at a temple in Thailand by women praying for luck, fertility and help in finding the man of their dreams.
The images show the anatomically correct replica of female genitalia engraved with prayers at a Buddhist shrine in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Eight smaller vaginas surround the mammoth’s vulva, while a seven-headed stone serpent has been constructed under a mango tree to “guard” the woman’s sacred parts.
The “fortune” vagina is said to have been constructed by the devout Buddhist nun Naowaratkotchaporn Simethawong, or Brahmin mother, to purify women from bad luck for committing sinful acts.
The statue has grown in popularity and worshipers now regularly visit it to pray.

Enthusiasts even built a matching golden penis surrounded by eight smaller penises to complete the selection of vulvas on display.
The genital sanctuary became such a success that local council chief Kanatchon Sijaroen was joined by a team of his staff and several police officers to inspect the items on May 22.
Kanatchon has now cleared the items. He said: “We want to make sure the sanctuary is up to moral standards. We ordered them to remove any signs that might be vulgar.
“It was also deemed disrespectful to have a Buddhist shrine so close to the genitalia statues, so we ordered it moved to a new position.”

After the inspection, the shrine continued to operate and devotees were allowed to pay their respects to the vagina statue.

After the inspection, visitors kept coming.
However, a large Buddhist statue that stood between the vagina and the penis was ordered to be moved to another area of the shrine to avoid “disrespecting” the religious monument.

Brahmin Mother said, “We perform ceremonies here to bring remedies for misfortunes, especially for women who have aborted a child.
She added: “I think we have to respect the genitals because they represent the origin of life and abundance in the world.” It’s not strange or unusual.
“Despite this, I stand ready to cooperate with the government to address any concerns.”
