“Black Mirror: Bandersnch”, Netflix’s revolutionary interactive film, fades in Black.
The streamer will remove “bandersnatch”, released in December 2018, as well as the special interactive “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend” on May 12, 2025. These are the last two interactive titles available on service, apparently marking the end of Netflix efforts to make the format, although as the same time as he has crawled his portfolio of games.

Netflix draws its original interactive titles while it looks more at the game. Its newly redesigned television home page, for example, offers games that you can play on connected televisions, including “too hot to manage 3” and “oxenfree” (described as an “interactive story”), using your mobile phone as a game controller. Declared to The Verge that interactive TV technology behind “Bandersnatch” and others “served its objective, but which we now limit when we focus on technological efforts in other areas”.
“Bandersnatch”, with Fionn Whitehead and Will Poulter, is an Adveture -style film chosen by your adventure which includes 312 minutes of equipment (just over five hours). It takes place in 1984, when a young programmer began to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantastic novel entitled “Bandersnch” – written by a crazy genius who would have cut his wife’s head – in an adventure video game. It is a “flexion of spirit with several endings”, explains Netflix in the description of the title.
A few months after the start of the “Bandersncy”, Netflix was raised on technology – with the product of the Vivilo of the Todd Yellin product saying that the company planned to “double” on interactive programming. (Yellin left the company in 2022.)
The interactive special of Netflix “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”, which bowed in 2020, is described in this way: “Kimmy gets married, but she must first thwart the evil intrigue of the Reverend. This is your move: what should she do next? ” It was a cornerstone of the Comedy series put an end to its race on Netflix after four seasons. In its initial ad, Netflix quoted Tina Fey, an executive co-creator and producer, saying that the interactive special “will be a great way to officially end the series”.
