Netflix has acquired Richard Linklater‘s Novelle WaveA black and white love letter with the new French wave, specifically to the 1960 classic Breathless.
The sale comes after the first beginnings of the film at the Cannes Film Festival, where it Received a 10 -minute standing ovation of the public. “If you do it long enough, I always thought you could make a film about the making of films. Linklater’s French language film is shot on the film in the 4: 3 aspect report and features Guillaume Marbeck as Godard, Zoey Deutch as a Godard star, Jean Seberg and Aubry Dulin as Jean-Paul Belmondo.

Scott Feinberg, THReditor -in -chief of the awards, predict that Novelle Wave is one of the strongest titles that comes out of rods in the Oscar conversation. Linklater has already been nominated for five Oscars.
Novelle Wave will probably not receive a longer theatrical race in the United States, just the standard two-week window at the national level, indicates a source THR.
