Netflix said Wednesday that its level cheaper and advertising now has 94 million monthly active users – an increase of more than 20 million since its last public count in November.
The company and its peers have relied more and more on advertising to increase the profitability of their streaming products. Netflix introduced the plan funded by advertising in November 2022.
The plan funded by Netflix advertising costs $ 7.99 per month, a drop in discounts compared to its cheapest advertising plan, to $ 17.99 per month.
“When you compare us to our competitors, attention begins more and ends much more,” said Netflix president of advertising Amy Reinhad in a statement. “Even more impressive, the members pay as much attention to mid-term advertisements as to programs and films themselves.”
Netflix also said that its cheapest level reaches over 18 to 34 years than any American diffusion or cable network.
