“Bruce and thousands of musicians think that you ruin America. You worry about the children of Dyin in Gaza,” said the musician
Donald Trump’s incessant practice to choose fights with musicians allowed him to divert concentration and bury more important conversations on the failures of his administration. His most recent tirades have targeted Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift – but Neil Young has enough of his distractions. If there is a battle to fight, it is not a against musicians.
“Bruce and thousands of musicians think that you ruin America. You worry about Dyin’s children in Gaza,” wrote Young on his website, Neil Young Archives. “This is your problem. I’m not afraid of you. Neither the others. You closed FEMA when we needed it most. This is your Trump problem. Stop thinking about what the rockers say. Remember to save America from the disorder that you have done. Taylor Swift is just. He’s Bruce. You know what I feel.”
Last month, the young person kissed Trump in a separate article on his Asinine immigration practices. Despite being a double citizen, the musician feared that he would not be prohibited to return to the United States after the conclusion of his next European tour because of his vocal criticism of the administration. Young’s wife Daryl Hannah recently recalled to what extent the first Trump administration would have tried to “spoil it” during his interie citizenshipw.
His concern about tours is not eccentric. The Trump administration has shown repeated non-compliance with judicial orders requiring regular procedure for migrants, going so far as to expel American citizens. This occurs while Trump has shown a blatant contempt to maintain the Constitution.
“You are more worried about you than America. Wake up Trump,” said Young. “Remember what the White House is? 86/47 ??? Is that what you think? Do you forget your real work. You work for us. Wake up the Republicans! This guy is out of control. We need a real president !!”
Young signed the post as himself “and many others” symbolically bringing together the legions of artists who oppose Trump and his dangerous policies.
