Neil Druckmann ‘not quite’ said Naughty Dog’s next game ‘could redefine dominant perceptions of gaming’

Naughty Dog studio head Neil Druckmann took to X/Twitter to clarify that some of what was in his interview with Sony was “not quite” what he said, including that The Last of Us developer’s next game could “redefine dominant perceptions.” Game.”

While we don’t yet know what Naughty Dog’s next game will be, Druckmann discussed his excitement with Sony. However, according to Druckmann, his answer was a little different than the one given during the initial interview.

So while Druckmann said this new project was “perhaps the most exciting” he’s ever done and “something really new for us,” he didn’t actually say, “it could redefine the dominant perceptions of the game. What he also said is that he’s “very excited to see what the reaction to this thing is going to be — and I’ve said too much already.”

Naughty Dog confirmed that it was working on a new project in March 2023, and it will be the studio’s first new game since 2020’s The Last of Us: Part 2. Naughty Dog also confirmed in 2023 that it had canceled its The Last of. We are a multiplayer game and would focus on single player play in the future.
