Neighbors surprised after man dies in Suwanee front yard

ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) – Police are back in the Ridge Oak neighborhood of Suwanee, looking for leads as to who killed a man in his front yard.

“For me, it was like he had fallen and he didn’t have his shoes on, which is strange,” said neighbor John Villedrouin.

“The call came out as a medical emergency because we didn’t know the status of the man,” officer Hideshi Valle said.

Gwinnett County police say they found a man in his 40s dead after being stabbed multiple times.

“Sign of the times. I’m not surprised,” Villedrouin said.

Other neighbors tell CBS46 crews they are surprised because nothing ever happens in their neighborhood.

“We currently have no indication of motive or suspect,” Valle said.

That’s why detectives were back in Ridge Oak a day later.

“They’re trying to do some prospecting and get as much information as possible to set everything up,” Agent Valle said.

“There are security cameras on those houses, pointed directly at them, so it’s probably on camera if the camera was working,” Villedrouin said.

A CBS46 crew knocked on the door of the house in front of which it happened. The man who responded said his family had no comment at this time.
