
The Cypriot flag container, 886 EVP NCL Salten Wounded overnight only a few meters from a house on the shore of the Trondheim Fjord in Norway.
There was no report of oil spills or injuries on board the boxship belonging to the northern sea containers line. The only real damage caused was a heating hose outside the house where the ship was resting in shallow waters. The cause of the incident is not yet known and is the subject of an investigation.
The Norwegian coastal administration takes up the recovery operation with the owner of the ship. There are several tugboats located in the area that could help the operation.
The owner of the house, identified in local media like Johan Helberg, did not even know that the incident had occurred.
According to Helberg, he slept just 7 m from the place where the prow of the ship has now founded.
