NBCC gains over 4% after subsidiary wins Rs 411-crore medical college project in Maharashtra
In a press release filed with the stock exchanges on July 29, the public sector construction company said its wholly-owned subsidiary, HSCC (India) Limited, has been awarded the project commissioned by the Department of Medical Education and Ayush, Government of Maharashtra. The project involves construction of a new government medical college and hospital in Buldhana.
The project includes the construction of a medical faculty with a capacity of 100 students and a 430-bed hospital. This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve health infrastructure and medical education in the region.
The award of this project is a testament to HSCC’s expertise and capabilities in the construction and management of healthcare and educational facilities. This new project adds to HSCC’s impressive portfolio of healthcare infrastructure projects, reaffirming its position as a leading player in the sector.
On July 4, construction company NBCC Ltd announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna. The public sector construction company has been awarded a project to build and develop an incubation centre at NIT Patna.
Last month, NBCC received a work order worth Rs 100 crore from REC Ltd. The project involves acting as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the construction and renovation of the REC Institute of Energy Management and Training building at Shivarampally, Hyderabad. REC Ltd is the client overseeing this project.
It also secured an order worth Rs 70 crore from Grid Controller of India Ltd. In total, the company has received contracts worth over Rs 1,500 crore in June 2024 alone.
Shares of NBCC were trading 4.55 per cent higher at ₹182.55 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange at 11:28 am.
