NBA playoffs: Thunder erases the two-digit deficit to take 3-2 advancing against Nuggets

It was more difficult than expected, but Oklahoma City Thunder is a victory far from the survival of Denver Nuggets.

The owners of the NBA’s first record this season erased a two-digit lead in the fourth quarter of match 5 to win 112-105 and take a 3-2 lead in their second round series. Match 6 is scheduled for Thursday (8:30 p.m., ESPN).

If there was a performance that won the match for OKC, it was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 31 points on 12 shots out of 23 with seven assists, six rebounds, two interceptions and two blocks.

If it was a section that won him, look no further than the three consecutive points of Lu sleeps in the fourth quarter. These triples took advantage of a seven -minute sectionless section on the field for the Nuggets, which led by 12 points in the third quarter and by eight entering the fourth quarter.

Before that, the Thunder looked stuck in moving sands against a less talented but more energetic opponent, led by a night of 44 points and 15 reimburses Nikola Jokić. Now they are fortunate to put an end to this series on the road, with a final of the Western Conference against the winner of the Minnesota Timberwolves-Golden State Warriors in play.

Shai Gilgeous Alexander

After Dort recovered the Thunder in the game, he was on Gilgeous-Alexander to keep them there. OKC took its first lead from the first quarter with 3:33 to play in the match, on a lay-up of their alleged MVP.

The Nuggets continued to equalize the game on three consecutive possessions, Gilgeous-Alexander responding each time. A Jokić lay-up led to a Gilgeous-Alexander-to-Isaiah Hartenstein Alley-Oop. A shot from Jokić bank led to a Gilegous-Alexander jumper. A 3 Jokić absorbent pointer led to a 3-point pointer Jalen Williams, then to 3 Gilgeous-Alexander to put OKC for good.

It was one of the best stretching of Gilgeous-Alexander’s career, and saw the crowd of the Payy Center sing frequently “MVP”.

Nikola Jokić was the elite. The rest of the nuggets, however …

If there was a game that condensed all the concerns concerning the nuggets in a 48-minute section, it was this one.

The Nuggets obtained a great performance of all time from their great player of all time. They obtained a night of 28 points from Jamal Murray, although an ineffective won with 10 shots out of 27 and four reversals. They had very few others.

Michael Porter Jr. was 1 in 7 for two points. Christian Braun was 3 out of 12 for eight points. Russell Westbrook was 1 in 7 for four points. Overall, the Non Jokić and Murray Nuggets fired 13 out of 45. Jokić scored 44 points, with two reversals, and lost.

It was particularly bad when the fourth quarter of Denver, in which non-Jookić players missed their first 13 shots before a lay-up of waste by Murray. They pulled 1 in 15 in total, in a Pivot 5 match and one of the greatest offensive players ever calling the shots.

We could call it unfathomable loss, but Denver can clearly understand that this is the kind of thing that cost the head coach Michael Malone his work. The Nuggets entered the playoffs with relatively low expectations against the first year head coach David Adelman, and now they need two consecutive victories against a team of 68-14 to maintain their unlikely race.
