Winning the NBA Finals is the pinnacle of sports and is the feat every player wants to experience during their career.

But how much do they get paid to win a ring? talkSPORT.com takes a look…

NBA Playoff Prize Money

The NBA playoffs have a prize pool of $27.5 million (£22 million).

This money is distributed throughout the rounds, with the winners receiving the largest share.

To reach the first round, teams receive a total of around $402,000 (£322,000).

In the conference semi-finals, teams will receive $478,000 (£382,000), then in the conference finals, they will receive around $791,000 (£633,000).

For reaching the NBA Finals, the prize money then takes a huge jump, with the runner-up taking home a whopping $3.1 million (£2.5 million).

The NBA champions are seeking around $4.7 million (£3.8 million), with the team able to decide how the money will be split between the players.

The winning teams of the championship will share the money and can decide to share it equally or give a larger share to certain players.

The NBA Playoff Finals MVP receives no additional compensation for winning the award.

However, some may have specific clauses in their contracts to receive compensation if they win the prize.

And their success will likely lead to endorsements and sponsorships which, in turn, will lead to massive gains.
