The reason why “getting out of the bench” is in the quotes is that this year, the format of the All-Star game has changed.
Instead of pinning the two conferences against each other or having two teams selected by the captains, this year’s event will see four teams of eight players – three selected by Inside the NBA The hosts Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal and the fourth from the winner of the Rising Stars game – play in an elimination style tournament.
The all-star weekend of the NBA in 2025 will take place from February 14 to 16, 2025 at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
