The NBA always has more stars than All-Star spots and it was again clear when the league revealed the complete lists of the 2025 stars match on Thursday.
Among those who cut the cut are the first time Victor Wembanyama and the 21st-Timer Lebron James. Six teams had several selections, while only two teams greater than 0,500 – Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings – did not. The game is again stacked with recognizable talents, but there were many more players beyond the 24 selected players.
This includes the leaders of the NBA in the assists, the rebounds and one of the leaders of the votes of the fans of the Eastern Stars.
Here are the most notable names to miss honor, but let’s do something clearly clear: they are not snobs in the sense that these guys are clearly more deserving than someone who has cut. We are just talking about guys who seemed at least worthy in a league with players more worthy of stars than spots.
At least one of those who have not been selected could also hear their names called soon, according to the serious injury by Anthony Davis. The All-Star 2025 game is scheduled for February 16 in San Francisco.
2025 NBA ALL-STAR SNUBS
Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks
No player has on average more help per game than Young’s 9.7 since his debut in the NBA, a period of time in which he has an average of 25.2 points per game (12th in the NBA). It certainly resembles a perennial star, but Young has now missed the match for the fourth time in his seven -year career.
Young is currently leading the NBA in assists per game with a career summit of 11.4, but its lack of efficiency (40.2% shooting, 34.2% deeply, 4.7 reversals per game) and the Lack of success of the Hawks (record of 22-25, ninth in the east) again left it outside the list.
Sabonis Domantas, Sacramento Kings
Sabonis has played 44 games this season. He recorded a double-double in 42 of them. For a third consecutive year, he led the NBA in rebound with 14.5 per game. The Kings have taken a step back this year, as evidenced by the dismissal of head coach Mike Brown, but Sabonis is a triple All-Star that plays as well as ever.
It is the guy who probably receives the call if Davis cannot go to San Francisco.
Ball Lamelo, Charlotte Hornets
Take the case of Young, then add some rating and social media subscribers and remove passes and team victories, and you have the case of ball. The 23-year-old took a step forward this year with 28.2 points per game, but the Hornets did not favor him at 12-32.
Ball led the East guards in the fans by voting for the start -up ballot, but has now missed the match together. He is also currently faced with an ankle sprain, so his availability for ASG was already in question.
Norman Powell, Clippers of Los Angeles
Kawhi Leonard has played nine games this season and remains on a restriction a few minutes. The clippers are still 27-20, good for sixth place in the West. A resurgent James Harden was recognized as a reason why with his 11th selection of career stars, but just as important was Powell.
The 33 -year -old man begins regularly for the first time in his career as Clippers with four seasons and represents an average of a 24 -point career summit per game, which leads the team. He raised his eyebrows with his comment “Add by subtraction” on Paul George, but he has more than supported.
Franz Wagner, Orlando Magic
If he had played a few more games, Wagner will likely prepare to adapt to his first career star match. The German missed 20 games because of a torn oblique, but he was worthy of the stars in the 28 he played.
The 6 -foot 10 inch wing added more facilitation to an already well -balanced game, which is a key element in one of the best defenses in the NBA. As long as he can stay healthy, he is on the right track to hear his name called several All-Star games on the line.
Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns
The Suns remain a little in disorder, but Booker is not the problem. Just like when Phoenix won more than 50 games per season, Booker marks a large clip while salut more than his just part of assists.
The NBA has clearly indicated that it does not think much of the big figures on the bad teams, but it does not really stand with Booker, whose Suns are still 24-22, thanks to mainly him and Kevin during.
Jarrett Allen, Cleveland Cavaliers
The riders already had three stars with Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland and Evan Mobley. There is an argument that they deserved a fourth in Golden State Golden State style. Allen is the team’s faithful defensive, Cleveland’s main rebounder and the East leader as an effective percentage of goal on the field at 0.703.
It is difficult to make an All-Star game when you have an average of less than 15 points per game, but Allen is the type of player who can still assert a case.
