Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal Face Off in Finals Before Boxing Match

Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal have nothing left to say to each other.

On Friday, Diaz and Masvidal both made weight for their 10-round light heavyweight boxing match this Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, weighing in at 175.6 and 175.2 pounds, respectively.

While the fighters weighed in earlier Friday morning, they took part in a ceremonial weigh-in Friday afternoon and then shared a final face-off before the big event, with host Jimmy Lennon Jr. saying, “We’re going to have our fighters face off with the security ready and necessary.”

Lennon’s words proved less than prescient, however, as Diaz and Masvidal remained well apart, standing several feet apart before giving their final interviews, with Diaz bringing the curtain down on the ceremonial event.

“Hey, this is all bullshit. I already weighed myself this morning,” Diaz said before smiling, flashing the peace sign and walking offstage.

Masvidal, on the other hand, had a more traditional message ahead of Saturday’s fight.

“One more night,” Masvidal said. “I’m going to be able to complete all this work that I’ve done since January. I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for every moment, for every single thing. I’m going to teach a lesson tomorrow, whether you like it or not. I’m here to do my job, I’m going to kill somebody tomorrow. All this bullshit is over, now we can fight, and either my side was the right side or his side was the right side, but we’ll find out tomorrow. See you all there.”
