NASCAR Chicago Street Race to return in July 2024 – NBC Chicago

In less than 100 days, NASCAR will once again take over the streets of Chicago.

The weekend of July 6-7, NASCAR Chicago Street Race Weekend will bring residents of Chicago and the Midwest two days of live music, car racing and family activities in Grant Park.

Here’s your guide to what the course looks like, who’s attending, and what activities to participate in.

Course layout

The course will begin on S. Columbus Drive. Turn the first turn onto E. Balbo Drive, then turn the second turn onto DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

Turn three follows DuSable Lake Shore Drive to turns four and five, where it returns to S. Columbus Drive.

Turn six pivots onto E. Balbo Drive toward turn seven onto S. Michigan Avenue.

Turn eight adjusts drivers to swerve onto E. Congress Plaza Drive for turn nine and return to S. Michigan Avenue for turn 10.

Turn 11 returns drivers to E. Jackson Drive and Turn 12 returns drivers to S. Columbus Drive.

Headliners

The Black Keys will kick off the Street Race headlining lineup on July 6 at 3:15 p.m. on the Concert Stage.

The Chainsmokers will follow by performing at 7:15 p.m. on July 6 on the concert stage.

On July 7, Lauren Alaina will perform on the concert stage at 12 p.m. Following his performance, country singer Keith Urban will perform at 1:30 p.m.

Activities

In addition to watching the race, the weekend is packed with activities for the whole family.

There will be Q&A sessions with drivers and interactive displays throughout the course map.

Ticket prices

Youth tickets for the event start at $40. General admission for ages 13 and older starts at $240.

General admission tickets include access to the race and concerts that take place throughout the event, according to NASCAR.
