Actor Nargis Fakhri has praised Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, saying the way the alpha energy of Ranbir Kapoor’s character was explored “was truly impressive”. Speaking to Filmfare, she said Animal’s female characters were “well-written”. Nargis spoke about the directors she would like to collaborate with. Talking about Animal, Nargis said, “I like the way the character was drawn for Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. The way he explored alpha energy was truly impressive! And look how well he drew the characters, even for the women in his film. Even though they weren’t made of “lead”, they also contained the juiciest parts!

Nargis talks about Rajkumar Hirani

She added, “Apart from him, I think Rajkumar Hirani’s films like Munna Bhai MBBS and Sanju are like a breath of fresh air laden with light-hearted moments and the way his films strike a chord with the audience is truly admirable. Finally, I would also like to work with Kabir Khan and his thoughts on high-octane action films like Ek Tha Tiger. I admire her passion for storytelling and the way she elevates each scene.

About animals

Animal is an action drama film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri. Animal was released in theaters in December 2023. It was criticized for glorifying toxic masculinity and misogynistic scenes. The film broke several box office records for a Hindi film and grossed ₹917.82 crores worldwide.
