Manuel Masalva, one of Netflix’s “Narcos: Mexico City” stars is in a coma and fights for his life.

The 43 -year -old man contracted a “very aggressive virus” during his vacation, his colleague and friend Marion Moran, said in a recent post Tiktok.

“My brother is fighting for his life far from his home,” said Moran.

A gofundme was launched to help pay his expenses while he is in the hospital. Moran wrote that he “remains in critical condition”.

“The bacteria have already been detected, it is under antibiotic and we are waiting for it to begin to improve,” he wrote.

People reported the gofundme has collected more than $ 50,000.

“The medical costs are enormous and in a country where everything is more difficult, any help, so small, can make the difference in this very difficult moment,” said Moran on Tiktok. “If you can contribute, we thank you with all our hearts.”

People have noted that Masalva’s social networks showed him traveling to the Philippines last month.
