Nancy Pelosi reveals big tech bets as portfolio climbs 70% in 2024

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi revealed major transactions involving leading technology companies, including Apple (AAPL, Financial), Nvidia (NVDA, Financial), Amazon (AMZN, Financial), and Alphabet ( GOOG, Financial) in a periodic transaction report filed in January. 15. Pelosi sold 10,000 shares of Nvidia stock for between $1 million and $5 million and exercised 500 call options worth up to $1 million. She purchased 50 additional call options with a strike price of $80, expiring in January 2026.

Additional transactions included the exercise of 140 call options on Palo Alto Networks (PANW, Financial) valued at $1 million to $5 million, as well as 50 call options on Tempus AI (TEM, Financial) and Vistra Energy (VST, Financial).

Data from Unusual Whales, which tracks congressional trading, reveals that Pelosi’s portfolio jumped 70.9% in 2024, more than the S&P 500’s 25% gain. However, Rep. David Rouzer took the upper hand over Congressional traders, with an increase in its portfolio of 140%.
