There is now more information on the injury suffered by Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean.
Philadelphia’s fears were confirmed, as Dean suffered a torn patella tendon in his knee, according to a report from NFL Media. He’s out for the playoffs and potentially beyond.
Dean, 24, had a breakout season for Philadelphia in his third year out of Georgia. He totaled 128 tackles with 3.0 sacks, four passes defensed, one interception, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
He had two tackles for loss before earning Sunday’s win over Green Bay.
The Eagles will face the winner of Monday night’s game between the Vikings and Rams in the divisional round.
